El actor británico Clive Owen tendrá la misión de encarnar a Hemingway en este drama, según sus declaraciones a la prensa en la Riviera Maya.
La preparación para el rol de la cinta, llevó a Owen a hacer un recorrido por las calles de la vieja Cuba y conocer la casa museo donde el famoso escritor y periodista de origen estadounidense se inspiró para escribir sus novelas más celebres.
Para el actor, según afirma, es quizás una de las mejores experiencias de su vida y su trayectoria profesional. En su visita a la morada que tuvo Hemingway en Cuba, Owen se encontró con su colección de libros, sus efectos personales y sus máquinas de escribir. Además notó en las personas que lo guiaron en su visita, que sabían tanto sobre la vida y obra de Hemingway que se percibe la gran huella que este dejó en La Habana.
La corprotagonista de este filme, para interpretar a Gellhorn es nada más y nada menos que la actriz australiana Nicole Kidman.
Owen estuvo participando en el Festival de Cina de la Riviera Maya con su película “Los Intrusos”, que se realizó en el pasado mes de marzo, en el cual fue homenajeada la actriz Susan Sarandon.
En la cinta de suspenso “Los Intrusos”, dirigida por el español Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, el actor comparte papel protagónico con Pilar López de Ayala. La trama de esta película se basa en la historia de dos familias cuyos hijos comienzan a padecer de trastornos mentales, por lo cual sus padres buscan ayuda psicológica y espiritual.
Al respecto, el artista bromeó diciendo que de niño nunca fue temeroso, pero que ahora lo persigue un temor constante de llegar a hacer una mala película.
